Bad Iraq BBQ

I wasn't in this - I was watching like it was a TV programme.
A group of American soldiers were gathered round a barbecue in a kind of urban wasteland in Iraq. Their commander had gone sort of mad and was ordering them to gather round this rudimentary cooker while he put some raw hamburgers on them.
He was telling them all that having a really raw hamburger would do them good. They were unsure but scared of their mad commander so were going along with it. He was cooking them for about ten seconds then ordering people to eat them. They looked really nasty and underdone.
Somehow an already half-cooked burger got on there and one of the soldiers got a half-decent piece of meat as a result. But the commander noticed and although he didn't do anything, I could tell there would be trouble later.
Underneath all the awkwardness it felt like the commander was trying to do the best for his men, even though he was insane.

I think it might have been based on Marlon Brando's character in Apocalypse Now, merged with the military dude in Avatar.
