Carrying women

I was going out to a party, or some evening event (I can't remember what exactly), with my wife and a female friend of ours (I'm 90% sure it was Carrie).
For some reason Des and Carrie both insisted that I should carry them to the party. This was an annoying, but perfectly normal, request. The hassle was great because we'd decided to go by tube. I was carrying them both in an unrealistic cack-handed superhero type way... they were both upright and comfortable. I ended up getting angry and putting them down because the tube escalator wasn't working. They then both laughed at me saying that they'd never expected me to carry them.
