Resisting gorillas

Gorillas and humans were locked in a protracted war for control of the Earth. My father had been identified by the gorillas as a key element of the human resistance and he was in terrible danger. I left the rest of my family to extract him from the city. Having managed to locate him without difficulty, I then needed to extract him. I knew that the gorillas were monitoring the trains and planes, so decided to take a taxi. I flagged one down and we jumped in the back. Relief swept over me - soon he'd be safe.
Then I looked up. I noticed there was another figure sitting next to the driver. Both of them were wearing hats - but just under the hat, I could see they had suspiciously hairy necks - a giveaway that they were gorillas disguised as humans. I pulled a knife out of my pocket and threw myself over the driver, plunging the knife into his abodomen. He got his gorilla arms around my neck and was about to strangle me. Realizing I had moments before my neck would be crushed, i pulled the knife upwards of the gorillas abdomen, puncturing the bottom of its lung. It immediately loosened its grip and I felt the air deflate out.
I awoke with a mild feeling of sorry and self disgust.
