Press ganged into playing a gig

I was hanging out backstage before a major gig with one of my favourite bands, the Alkaline Trio. All of a sudden they insisted that I fill in on bass guitar for them. I told them I hadn't played in years and wouldn't be good enough to perform live with them. They absolutely insisted, albeit in a nice way, that I join them onstage.
THEN I told them I didn't know how to play any of their songs either. Still they insisted that I should come out and just wing it. They said it would all be fine.
I didn't think it was going to go well at all. Then I woke up.
